24/7 SUPPORTED ACCOMMODATION SERVICES/ SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT LIVING (SIL)

Our houses are either owned by or leased for long term by Haven Care Australia Pty Ltd. Our mental health houses are on single levels and may have a maximum of three residents in each house. Residents range in age from their late 18s to late 70s. Our staff work with people to help them to meet their needs tailored to their goals practicing choice and independence. Our experienced and qualified staff team provides 24-hour care and support, with at least three members of staff on duty during the day and two in the night and on call services.

 

Houses are accessible, purpose built with hard floorings, high ceilings, large doorways, accessible bathrooms, have large hallways and breath-taking views. Haven homes are located close to bus stops and shopping areas.

Our key features include:

Intensive supported accommodation for people with mental illness who require high levels of daily support. Support will be provided in accordance with each client’s needs, up to 24 hours / 7 days a week.

24/7 Complex housing supports that are accessible for physically challenged persons.

Provision of safe environment within the house.

Supporting people to transition into independent living.

Ongoing assessments and reviews of mental status and physical health by experienced and qualified clinicians of Haven Care Australia.

Our team conduct regular meetings with residents to give them input into decisions about the activities of the house.

A full range of activities is offered, including relaxation classes, walking groups, table tennis, football, swimming, gentle yoga and mindfulness exercises or any other activities that our residents are interested in.

Options for communal cooking and meals.

Respite facilities- short term mental health support.

Range of in- house activities including painting lessons, baking and cooking classes, music lessons, gardening, barbecue dinner, optional pastoral care.
